That sums it up perfectly for me, the DA are very delusional, as soon as they come back to reality maybe their Moonshot would work.

I think they are actually not that committed to their Moonshot because they know their actual aim is to go into a coalition with the ANC, the Moonshot thing is just there to placate their supporters.

Do you recall some Russian ship visiting our shores recently. Nobody ever saw the manifest. I would venture to say that even if there was a manifest, the best stuff would not be on there.
 
The PA can vote with the moonshot without actually being in the moonshot, maybe they will be taken seriously after, until then they are a bunch of useless clowns.

They can, but they won't unless they get positions and more positions over time, until Moonshot eventually refuses and they betray them again.

An ANC coalition will kill the DA.

They have even had a coalition with the EFF in the past to get the ANC out (which I supported, and it was worse than this PA nonsense, but it was the only option at the time)

Giving the PA a second chance is not nearly as bad as just letting the ANC continue to run things and being a smaller coalition partner with them.

They can give them a position get their vote and blame them publicly for the coalition falling apart. That would just be the truth.

And then hopefully the coloureds vote better next time.

But they will continue to run things, just a few months later when the PA turns on the DA again.

There is just no other option where the DA gets to be in charge without the PA.

And what damage would it do to the DA and other parties in the moonshot when they keep sleeping with this political prostitute? You need to look at the bigger picture.

It's truly not about giving someone a second chance as if you have some power over them, it's about admitting that you are in a compromised position therefore you have to make some compromises.

The whole Moonshot thing is a non starter without the buy in of other opposition parties, the DA, IFP and the Freedom Front just don't have the numbers, they are in no position to be giving the PA a second chance, they need the PA, as well as other opposition parties, the fact that they cannot bring themselves to admit it is just that, a party that is delusional enough to think they have a chance of somehow being able to govern without a majority.

Yeah, from a long term standpoint rather be in the opposition than constantly having a collapsing government and shouldering all the blame for it.

I prefer they try something rather than nothing or this pretend BS is the worst. Like I said. I supported the DA EFF coalitions in the past as that was the only option at the time to get the ANC out of power.
