The SA Politics Thread Part 3

It makes the most sense tho, for the biggest party in a coalition to get the mayoralty.

This puppet show Lesufi has been running with EFF has just been a ploy to stay in power to keep EFF onside.
It is also irrational and politically immature. The whole point is that the EFF will not serve under an ANC mayor and vice versa. At least in appearance when in reality they do. It is stupid.

Precisely. It's also a ploy to not alienate their voters who would refuse that ANC works with the EFF and vice versa.

Even Mpho is saying the same as I have:
Phalatse said the PA dropped them before and would do it again.
"It was in January this year that we were ousted because the PA decided to leave our coalition and go over to the ANC-EFF side where they were offered better offers... Now they're saying they want to come back and the DA is saying what guarantee do we have that three months down the line, you're not going to get a better offer and leave again?"

Has she seen the light after her defeat or what is it that informs the change of heart? Didn't she write a letter to Zille begging the DA to work with the likes of PA and EFF?

That one is too enamored with that gold chain. Same with that other one

Hopefully someone else gets the Mayorship

You don't have the numbers without them. If you want the moonshít BS to work you have to let them stab you in the back again. It is basic math.
So just let them betray you again, and collapse the government again, and bring back Doomsday again, so your coalition partners can pin all the blame on you again?

Very smart, Rietie.

Panyaza has successfully managed to wrestle the Nedbank Cup from being hosted in that troublesome neighbouring country.

Panyaza delivers.

What an utter waste of space of a human.

It wasn't doomsday don't be dramatic.

The DAs inability to count and compromise is making them look more like the bad guys and is worse than PA betrayal.

They need to seriously decide do they want coalitions to work or not.

The serious options are:
1.work together with the PA and everyone else.
2. Let the ANC EFF coalition run things.

That is it it. This were every small party recommended their own mayor candidate is BS and option 2. If that is what you want just stop pretending and vote for the best ANC guy.

Yes, because that worked out so well, last time.

It's idiotic to suggest someone works with another who deliberately stabbed them in the back.

Those are the only two options.
If you don't want to give option 1 another try then it is option 2 until the next election.

Both are shít. You have to pick one
