On the 'numba_cruncher' Zuma tax saga, did he pay the fringe benefit tax for Nkandla - and if he did, it would be great to understand how he did based on his salary at the time.

Not happening.
If they want power they must win it away from the ANC. Also wouldn't that require a constitutional amendment, something the DA are always warning against?
Yeah that seems like the start of trying to create their own state. Not sure if it's going to work out for them...

The Constitutional Court has ruled that sections of the Promotion to Access of Information Act (Paia) and the Tax Administration Act, which completely disallow access to a third party’s tax records, are invalid.

The court ruled that the law should allow for tax records to be accessed in limited circumstances and in the public interest

The case is a result of a request by the Financial Mail and the Amabhungane Centre for Investigative Journalism to access former president Jacob Zuma’s tax records. While the judgment has personal implications for Zuma, the journalist Warren Thompson can now go back to the SA Revenue Service (Sars) to request to view the record of Zuma’s taxes.

The decision means that both pieces of legislation must now be amended to allow for access to tax records in the public interest.

What's the point of this? My reading of the situation in SA is that the majority who vote for the ANC know very well that it's a corrupt, immoral, incompetent and thieving organization. It's kind of impossible to not know that.

What if a SARS tax return proves this? Will the public suddenly stop voting ANC due to this amazingly shocking revelation?

They're not going after Zuma because he is voter fodder for the ANC, they're going after him because he breaks the law all the time.
