Nine Tembisa Hospital officials who rigged inflated medical supply contracts – part of a R1 billion extraction network first flagged by Babita Deokaran – are still at work, and no action has been taken against them.

Actually the ANC needs every vote it can get in Gauteng. It was well under 40% in the municipal elections. Getting 1% in a strong DA ward is embarrassing.

DA holds. Slight increases for both DA and VF+. Tshwane remains under Moonshot's control.
ANC still going strong in MP. Big loss for EFF.
Landslide for DA.
IFP holds and keeps the same vote share. Slight gains for ANC.

IFP increases and holds the ward.
Big drop in IFP thanks to an independent. IFP holds.
IFP loses the ward to ANC. I think this is the first time it's happened since 2021.
IFP could lose the council.
Summary:
A good day for PA and DA.
Mixed bag for IFP and ANC.
I think IFP's offensive in KZN will continue despite yesterday's shortcomings.
EFF is down or stagnated across the board. Bad night for them.

Isn't it the DA who needs all the votes they can get?
They can't be winning the same wards they've always had under a 22% turnout and expecting to topple the Liberation Movement, they will need to do a lot more, unless of course they have admitted defeat and resigned themselves to their fate?
The PA is rising at the expense of both the DA and the ANC in Gauteng, the DA with their 28% they got under a low turnout election are going to suffer.
It looks simple enough to me, if you are number 2 and want to topple number 1, you must hold firm and increase your vote, there us no sign of that happening for the DA in Gauteng.
