They did not care and were hoping people would be killed by the police so that they can use that to force Ramaphosa to step down, when that did not happen they quickly found an opportunity in the Phoenix deaths.

To be honest, I'm not even referring to property burnt on either side.. merely the response to the event in terms of the Indians being "racist".. yes some where without a doubt, just like some of the Blacks were racist as well.. but a chunk of the response would have built up through the lens of what happened in 1949. The police were nowhere to be found, and people felt like they needed to protect themselves and push the hoard back out.

This is the bit that the EFF should be focussing on. Why did the Police do absolutely zero? It's time our Minister of Police grew up and took some responsibility like a man.

There were hoards of blacks everywhere, ballito, port shepstone, pinetown, durban north etc etc. I think Phoenix got hit the hardest and the defence line got broken and they had to evacuate, hence the burning houses after they left.

The whites were also racist and encouraging violence according to recorded accounts.

They were nowhere because it was state sanctioned.

On the one hand, you get okes trying to say Indians are racist and pointing towards Ghandis attitudes towards black people and on the other, they will say the Phoenix situation was not racist, such is the logic of the Mybroederbond.
