Building up to the anniversary of July 2021 it seems
Five trucks set alight in Mpumalanga
Five trucks were set alight on Sunday evening in Waterval Boven, officially known as Emgwenya, in Mpumalanga.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier Selvy Mohlala, said they were still unsure of the motive behind the torching of the trucks.
"Two vehicles stopped the trucks before the Waterval Boven tunnel and set them alight," he said.
This latest incident comes after a group of armed men allegedly torched six trucks in KwaZulu-Natal on Saturday night.

Most of our major freeways are dangerous...

Hell I know many companies that will no longer drive their trucks through Mthatha at all. They have either setup distribution infrastructure on the other side of Mthatha, or they drive up and over Mthatha
 
Now it make sense, that car was supposed to be cleansed of whatever dangerous muthi Mncwango left in there as soon as possible before something bad befell the new Mayor, hence the blue light drive to his homestead.

Some uninformed people thought it was a celebration, meanwhile it was a very delicate operation that needed to be done.

Are we sure that Ancestors are ok with the colour blue though? Maybe the whole operation was for naught...

Won't happen. Too much of a demand for the service.
Better question is: "what will the trucking industry look like after 40 years of communist rule?"

My prediction is it will turn into the taxi industry. There will be gang controlled routes that will require anyone using them to pay protection money. Everything outside those routes will need the following to use safely:

This does increase costs to trucking companies. Also reduces productivity. Those truck are not replaced tomorrow. Could take 6 months or even longer. The driver now has very limited income as he has an incentive based package. All the additional costs cannot be absorbed by the company or they will close down. The costs are passed on down the line. Now you know why food costs so much more!
