DA wins High Court order to reinstate Raymond Dhlamini as Ekurhuleni council speaker
The Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg has ordered that DA councillor Raymond Dhlamini be reinstated as the council speaker in Ekurhuleni.
Dhlamini was voted out as council speaker in a late night council meeting on 3 February.
His removal was spearheaded by opposition political parties including the ANC and the EFF and some smaller opposition political parties.
He was replaced as speaker by EFF councillor Nthabiseng Tshivhenga.
The High Court found Dhlamini’s removal was illegal. The court ordered that he must be reinstated.The court also ordered that Tshivhenga’s election was unlawful and should be reversed.

There is a huge difference in education quality between a traditional/non-profit private school and a modern/for profit private school.
