I'm not worried about the quality of education here, I just want people to pay for their own kids instead of taxpayers. Curro, St Snob-head, whatever, as long as they don't receive tax money. If they churn out idiots, I can live with that.
 
JUST IN | Government declares national state of disaster in response to widespread floods
Government had declared a national state of disaster following flooding across the country.
In an unexpected statement on Monday night, the Presidency said the declaration would enable "an intensive, coordinated response" to the impact of flooding in Mpumalanga, the Eastern Cape, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, the Northern Cape, and North West.
"The National Disaster Management Centre has, in terms of Section 23 of the Disaster Management Act, classified the impact of current, above-normal rainfall in various parts of the country – with Mpumalanga and the Eastern Cape as the most affected – as a national disaster."
Presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya said a national disaster may be declared by Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, "where disastrous events occur or threaten to occur in more than one province".
President Cyril Ramaphosa last week declared a national state of disaster in response to the power crisis.

New mayor for Beaufort West
The troubled Beaufort West municipality has sworn in yet another mayor to take charge of the town.
During a special council sitting on Monday, the Patriotic Alliance's (PA) Ashley Sauls was elected the town's new mayor following Thershia Prince's resignation earlier in February.
Sauls was previously the mayoral committee member for Health and Social Development in the City of Johannesburg.
Sauls vacated his seat in the Johannesburg council to make way for the PA's deputy president Kenny Kunene, to be elected as mayoral committee member there.
Prince, who was inaugurated as mayor in June last year, submitted her resignation on 31 January but did not cite any reasons for her resignation.
