USA have actually become pretty good in men's soccer. The biggest reason behind that is because people who went there in the 80s and 90s from Europe, Africa, and South America had kids who grew up loving footy. Even George Weah's son plays for them and most of their good players are the kids of fairly recent immigrants once you research their background.

Our men's soccer players are actually good in terms of raw skill. The issue they have is more a lack of discipline in terms of play. They focus more on skills instead of basic things like passing the ball correctly. If you look at teams like South Korea and Japan (which are pretty decent, Japan now on par with many Euro nations). they don't have as much skill nor athleticism as our men's players but do the basic things like passing the ball better and so fare better.

Just saw this, they are indeed a courageous bunch, coming back again and again is not easy. Kgatlana was very emotional at the end, turns out she put on all that performance despite her personal troubles.

We could be feeding off the Nigerian blood ourselves, but the Nigerians are no longer being built the way they used to, their men's team is dodgy nowadays.

Yeah, I just hope that once it is over, they don't allow Danny Jordaan to take credit for this. He will do if given the opportunity and is a reason why SAFA has been so shambolic.

I think he is at the stage all dictators reach at some point in their dictatorship, he does not care.

If not for corrupt boards, there is no doubt that Africa would be winning World Cups. Nigeria used to win youth World Cups but then flop in the senior one because something dodgy happens at the top.

At the same time, the corrupt African boards actually help the big Euro nations as many of the top players will end up wanting to play for a Euro nation instead of African in order to avoid dealing with travel times and the stress of dealing with the boards.

Quite a smart but evil politician tbh. He absolutely destroyed Rea Ledwaba in the last election even though she tried to sell her campaign on women leadership and also killed off Lucas Radebe's administration career.

Radebe should have just gone back to UK. Pretty sure Leeds would have got him involved.
 
The problem in Africa is that the administrators are far more than the players.
