No, they don't actually. They're in favour of grants. I mean just a week or two ago before the budget was announced, they announced they'd support a BIG (but with conditions obviously).
Then there's a huge disconnect as a lot of DA voters are against grants.

Grants have a place, the elderly and disabled for example.

People of working age need jobs to become contributing members of society, not grants. This won't only improve their lives, it will allow for a bigger grant for those who actually need it. By relying on a grant, they're not only leeches, they're being selfish...

But the DA supports grants for people of working age, which goes against the wishes of their voters.

Sure, the current SRD for the unemployed only placates them instead of assisting/driving them to find work, but the big problem there is when there are no jobs, what else can be done...?
Secondly, the problem as well is that the ANC acts like having almost half the population relying on grants is somehow an achievement, but it isn't. It's rather a testament to their failure of maintaining/allow the economy to grow (i.e. more jobs, fewer grants need to be paid, etc). And let's be honest, the unemployed make up the majority of the receivers.

In essence, grants should cover the most vulnerable in society, from the elderly right through to the unemployed.

I went to check what grants SASSA offers and I can't really go into opposition about their offerings. The only thing I'd say is to replace the SRD with a BIG with conditions once we can afford it (similar to what DA proposed).

No you will actually find many of the DA voters aren't against grants in the correct context. What they're against is the abuse of grants, and grants that are technically unaffordable.

I know that the subtly and nuance of the position is beyond you to comprehend, but thats an issue for you to resolve.
