South Africa is a small and diminishing player in global affairs. Our domestic circumstances - crumbling economy, power cuts, social distress, and so on - don't support political adventurism in global affairs.

What is the deal behind calling ANC leaders frogs? I thought being called Frogs was insult to French so I may be missing some colloquialism there.

Sadly this is necessary. We need our own refinement. And the big global companies cannot completely be relied on and the barriers to entry is really high.

It would be great if they just set it up have it going for a year or two and then list it publicly.

No idea, you don't go around calling people frogs if you are going to fear for your life when they promise to deal with you.

He must stop with his nonsense, our people are desperate for service delivery, not his publicity stunts.

While government does stupid things and carries some blame, they didn't:

Blow up the Engen refinery
Blow up the Astron refinery
Flood the Shell and BP refinery

Government is fully responsible for the Mossel Bay refinery running put of natural gas though.
