Trying to pass legislation is the stupid part.
They are already free to make whatever coalition agreements they wish. They don't need additional coalition laws for that. Think about this for a minute. They want to force parties like PA to behave, and what if they don't? We are going to have years long court cases about it.
This is the most pathetic Karen way for the DA to try and legislate themselves friends.

Everything the Germans do is bad. If the Germans have a 5%(or any) threshold for minor parties then we should do the exact opposite and not have it.

In all standard democracies that use PR, electoral thresholds are a thing. To prevent the scattering of parties and seats and the total chaos we've experienced the past few years.
The same with limiting MONCs and extending the time allowed to form a government.
It isn't stupid. And how will they legislate themselves, friends, through this exactly?
We're moving into uncharted territory, which requires new rules of engagement (i.e. legislation).
IMO 5% is too extreme for SA. 2% is better.

You keep trying to predict DA supporters' views and you are mostly wrong. The current arrangement in KZN between the IFP and DA is working fantastically well, where the most bigger of the two parties compete with the ANC for wards. The ANC in KZN is in absolute shambles.

I don't understand on what grounds were they arrested as this looks like a labour disciplinary issue, but maybe there are laws pertaining to the use police vehicles.
But It's a good thing that they are doing something about it.
