Hmmm.... A bit disappointed at only 55% turnout (incl. special votes) at my VD at around 6.30pm although there was a bit of a queue and the carpark still completely full. So should get to 70% turnout as I'm sure many people saw queues and thought they'd come later.

IEC Official in NC have just said on eNuus, they expect between 75 - 78% turnout in NC.

I think we might see turnout pop up significantly once the queues close for new entries and they can just solely process those who are waiting. But what heartens me especially is the shitton of people who remain steadfast in the queues.

I'd hedge the one united national tradition we have is voting in general elections.

Why the hell are they still having to cross people’s names of paper lists in 2024? Finding the correct Jan Smit or Sipho Ndlovu must take flipping ages. They just typed our ID numbers in here in the UK.

No, if you're in the queue before 9. You're safe.

New entries are essentially blocked at 9.
