Newbie again, does this mean the country is saved? Should we halt the emigration process?

Full transparency, I overestimated the growth of the DA. I have been disappointed in their national showing.
Thought they'd do better too tbh, but...

I'm happy tbh, from the start, I said as long as they either hold equal to, or slightly improve on 2019 as bare minimum... I'm happy.
Future of SA is very uncertain. There are a bunch of scenarios that spell disaster. I truly have no idea how the 7th parliament is going to look. It's exciting because I've already emigrated so don't have to live thru the disaster scenarios if they play out. For Saffers who can't leave, I sympathize.
Don't be like that, honourable member. For now, it is time for:

Posters who came out badly from this election: TheChamp, JuliusSeizure, half a point to surface who wasn't as bad as TheChamp with his Panty Lesufi love in but always seems to like his posts.

Posters who came out well from this election: @PrimeSteak, non-voter @Shaun_SA (who predicted the love of uBaba well before polls said), @Inertia who said the DA would surprise on the upside and of course the biggest DA booster, myself.

It wasn't that hard to predict tbh. I live in uBaba territory. Next prediction is a rash of municipal councilors resigning and by-elections being called in Kwa Zuma Natal

Oh and to anyone eating humble pie. I did warn about the dangers of making rash predictions :whistling:

If I was the DA, this would be my strategy for long term growth in KZN.

1.) Get some Zulu guy, put him in the senior leadership.
2.) Everything is great, everyone loves the token Zulu for a couple of years.
3.) CORRUPTION ALLEGATIONS!!! We turn on the Zulu.
4.) Kick him out.
5.) He goes to KZN. Tells his story. White man did him dirty.
6.) "Help, help, I'm being oppressed. No-one has ever suffered more than me in the history of humankind"
7.) KZN voters lap this stuff up.
8.) Dude gets half of KZN to vote for him.
9.) Psych! The whole fight with the DA was a scam.
10.) DA's been in cahoots with him the whole time.
11.) DA merges with OZP, takes KZN.

Looking at these results I can see why these ANC members were always scared of voting against him with his motions of no confidence.

uBaba was and remains powerful. Many people have underestimated his impact.

Impactful like a wrecking ball. But then again - The only legacy a wrecking ball can aspire to is ruin.

Agreee. Doubt things will improve in KZN especially with the water crisis etc

Pro - If you want to win an election. Have uBaba on your side

Con - More people move to Western Cape

35000 out of 58000 voters sounds like the DA are underestimating their support of expats (only 60.0 percent compared to 75.0 percent last time. I actually expect the DA to get a higher share of the expat vote this time). Guys remember Steenhuisen must resign for being the only party currently in parliament to grow - REEEEE
