Well I've heard the other possible plans for the ANC described as the "Chernobyl" option for the ANC. For the ANC. Not the country. The country will survive. The ANC will not.

I'm guessing GNU is code for ANC + DA + IFP. Certainly there is nothing unifying about a violent Zulu nationalist party.

The IFP has a smallernyana dilemma, if they choose the ANC, DA coalition, Zuma is going to use the tribal tactics against them and turn their own supporters against them, being the illiterates they are they will buy into it and the IFP might suffer in the next local election.
So I think they might end up straddling the lines and working with both the ANC, DA as well as the MK.

Yeah, they will need the EFF, that's why it's better to just surrender KZN to Zuma and whoever he goes in a coalition with, sit back and see how soon the masses realise it was all a fluke. The EFF should not be given the power they got in local elections to play the big parties.

i would have imagined a little introspection would have been in order.
work together with foes for the better of people and country, perhaps regain a bit of respect and dignity along the way.
working with the DA does not mean black ppl have to sit at the back of the bus again.
