Doubt the ANC are interested in Trumpist wall building. It's counter their DNA.
I also doubt they are, that's why I say they will have to find a common ground. Illegal immigration has a direct impact on the ANC's electorate, the DA will obviously have no problem with it since their electorate is middle class and wealthy, the ANC can no longer afford to ignore it, all they have been doing is pretend as if they are doing something about and hope people buy into the ruse, they have seen that it did not work, so they will have to start actually doing something.

Not really the ANC's strong point to actually do something.

They're masters at kicking the can down road though.

I totally have no problem with closing borders and mass deportation, the ANC and Mckenzie should be able to find one another there, he obviously won't get everything he wants but there should be a lot of common ground on illegal immigration, the ANC has just not been brave enough to do what needs to be done and Gayton will be the catalyst to get things going.

If they close him out then the ANC stands to lose a lot more to the PA in 2026, it's better to work with him, the nonsense of dismissing valid issues on illegal immigration as xenophobia is no longer going to work.
Most people would agree that we have a problem with illegals and we should secure (not close) our borders better.

But not the extreme "CLOSE ALL BORDER. EVERYTHING FOREIGNER FAULT, DEPORT THEM ALL. BUILD THE WALL" type **** Gayton's been selling.

I have a feeling that these cnuts are going to do their unrest on the eve of parliament's first sitting, to try and create some kind of constitutional crisis by preventing parliament from sitting, if they don't get what they want.

Citing untested allegations of widespread election fraud, former president Jacob Zuma's MK Party is now threatening to interdict the inauguration of the seventh Parliament.

The party previously threatened to boycott the first sitting, citing untested claims of widespread elections irregularities. Now it is threatening to interdict the first sitting to elect the president.

However, the the electoral laws and the permutations are such that even if MK Party members don't pitch and the ANC and other opposition party MPs do, the National Assembly will still be quorate and be able to go ahead with voting for the president, speaker and deputy speaker.

In a statement issued in the early hours of Monday morning, MK Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela said they had decided to interdict the convening of the "unconstitutional sitting" of the inaugural session of the National Assembly.

On Friday 7 June, the MK Party's lawyers issued a formal demand to Constitutional Court Chief Justice Raymond Zondo and Parliament's secretary, Xolile George, informing them about the party's intentions to interdict the sitting.

In the letters, the MK Party's lawyers wrote to both Zondo and George, informing them that their client was aware they had received or handed over MPs lists, made public statements about surrounding controversies, and "align[ed] with a particular and disputed interpretation of the relevant provisions of the Constitution".
Especially since parliament has rejected their letter, and chances are Zondo will too...

Yeah we need a more "moderate" response.

Secure our borders, sort out the BMA to make them effective, fix our borders and make them efficient and all that.

Possibly a bit of focus on illegal immigrants within our borders in terms of either identifying them and either helping them become legal or start getting them back to their own countries.

Seems like his 2nd wife (Young bokkie) is still getting SAPS 24/7 VIP protection services in Umhlanga. The police vans parked outside the house as usual.
