They've been largely prudent and competent yes, but it might be worthwhile to have a person who is actually a finance person involved at the level.. it might drive some of the changes we do need as a country.

That may be true, but they've had to operate within the constraints of their party's policies. And this has become increasingly socialist, which meant more spending on social portfolios and less on infrastructure and economic growth.

A neutral FM would be able to draft a budget without pandering to political pressure...

Desperation is showing though, peoples access or possible access to the trough is about to disappear and they're scrambling.

He never said all foreigners should be deported though, why make up things and attribute them to him? And semantics are pointless close the border and open it only for people with the right documents, it is the same thing as securing the order, same way you lock your gate at home and only open it for people that are welcome according to you, the owner of the home, there is nothing contradictory.

Yes, I don't totally agree with the man, that is the whole point of sitting down and coming to a good middle ground, but enforcing the law as it is will be a good start, and again there is absolutely nothing wrong with mass deportation, should we deport them one by one?

According to the DA the party that has the most votes should be the Boss in a coalition, the ANC is the biggest party in JHB, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni. After the conclusion of the national coalition, we move to local government, ANC mayor, DA speaker and the the council positions are shared accordingly.

I agree but first home affairs needs to get their schit sorted. That department has been captured by the ANC comrades with big time looting and corruption on going.

He still significantly applied brakes to that amount of looting that the ANC wanted to do. He was competent enough. Gordhan really performed poorly in his current position.
