My immediate expectation is that it won't be worse than before, and potentially a bit better. My hope is that it could be much better.

Considering that an ANC/MK/EFF coalition would have been substantially worse than before, I'm happy with how things turned out.
 
They've got 2 years before LG elections, and 3 years before Ramaphosa's ANC successor is elected.

No time to fiddle and fart whether they like it or not...
This is what scares me the most. Things might look up for the next 3 years while change is happening, and then we may end up with the RET faction again.

I hope and pray that the agreements that were signed are enforced until 2029 regardless of party leaders. I don't have much faith in Cyril to clean up his party before then.
 
Work as in do the business government is supposed to do. Not playing politics with people's lives
Politicians will always play politics with people's lives. That's not going to change. It not turning into a circus we saw in Johannesburg and Tshwane would be a good start.

If it can hold for a year.
