I think its a bit to late now, The cat is out of the bag and politics is a perception game and DA will not make any progress with black supporters if its perceived as they are not willing to punish him......look at what happened to EFF with their stance on immigration, They were essentially punished for the failing of ANC to address the issue.

I am just curios, Do political parties in SA don't have people who vet candidates for office? I mean someone who trawls social media, background checks etc. for something that may cause problems in the future? I mean some small companies even do this to determine if a candidate's views are aligned to theirs or not.

You don’t have to like the person or associate with them, but the fact remains that they are a good person who would not do crime or hurt others.

Instead of thinking for & putting yourself in the shoes of the 30%ers, why not support those with similar integrity and value systems to yours. While you’re at it as a smart person just embrace that we are all born racist to some extent and rise above it and move on instead of feeding one of the greatest cons and political tricks used to make people fight each other and keep generally poor POCs down and in perpetual victimhood.

And if this still doesn’t resonate with you then at least support the man for comedic value! Good parly sessions ahead…

Probably BEE. That post is absolutely 100% correct. Nobody should have white guilt. Not really because some black person can can afford a merc. That stupid reasoning. But because white people voted to end apartheid in 92.

Why does he need to be removed? Does context not exist? The video was 14 years ago, he's saying how is it fair that Malema can say kill the boer but he can't say what he said? Context, plus freedom of speech?
So as a white person he can't say anything? Must sit in a corner and just be afraid of being called a racist? Well sorry as a white person you get called racist for almost anything.

There is something that is called a pattern, and he's had more than enough to show that he is all about race, thereby meaning he is a racist in his core. That is definitely not stupid reasoning, it is racist reasoning.

Oh, there is a guy who says he used to follow his podcast and what we are currently seeing is just the tip of an iceberg.

Think he was also on this forum years again as Reind33r or something. It's not so much the person because he is very obviously committed to the DA, it's the way he deals with people and his overall simping online to right-wingers.

If you want an example of what a little wimp he is, he will argue for hours on racism and liberals, but when he made a post celebrating pride month, his followers/fanbase lost their mind and he backed down. This doesn't mean he is a homophobe, it just means it dawned on him the type of audience he has attracted.

Edit: And while I am shitting on the guy, I do want to be clear that Renaldo has done a LOT for charity, initiatives and for improving the country - I only have an issue wit how he has marketed himself over the years and the fact that he is a politician

No it's not fair and it never will be, the majority of people in this country don't understand context or don't want to, it's white man bad as we all know. We have seen how the DA is being called a racist party without actually being racist by the brain dead masses on twitter, they don't need to make it harder for themselves.

It isn't racist reasoning to assume black people benefit from BEE. That is the entire point of the BEE legislation to benefit black people.
