All that is showing me is its going to be more of the same after these elections. I mean the survey doesn't even bother putting up the numbers for the other parties as they're so irrelevant.

ANC was at their highest around NHI announcement. Immediately after NHI, they started tanking and the ConCourt ruling vs Zuma just inflamed things.
The reverse happened for DA, they boosted after NHI and ConCourt.

Something that we've also neglected is the provinces. Sure, the provincial legislatures are crucial, but what we all forgot is NCOP.

The legislatures directly elect members to NCOP (National Council of Provinces, upper house of Parly). So...

The NCOP consists of ninety delegates, ten delegates for each of the nine provinces regardless of the population of the province. Each province is equally represented in the NCOP.

A provincial delegation is composed of six permanent delegates and four special delegates. The party representation in the delegation must proportionally reflect the party representation in the provincial legislature, based on a formula included in the Constitution.

The permanent delegates are selected by the nine provincial legislatures. The four special delegates include the Premier of the province and three other delegates. They are nominated by each province from the members of the provincial legislature and are contingent on the subject matter being considered by the NCOP. The premier leads the province's delegation in the NCOP, but they can choose any of the others delegates to head of the delegation in their absence.

So i.e. if the ANC loses their majorities in more provinces... They could completely lose control of NCOP and make lawmaking that much harder for them.

It is the end of ANC majority rule, ladies and gentlemen.

ICASA saying they don't have a legal basis, essentially means "you don't have any credible reason to not show the ad".

The fine is just extra salt to the wound.

Fair point, actually. Hahaha. Cyril bent over backwards for Zuma and yet Zuma is going to have the final laugh (at least in KZN). The master tactician moniker was given to him by negotiators during the dying days of apartheid. I don't actually think he is one.
