Not correct. The way to do it is to be involved in the vetting process to ensure that suitable candidates are elected. So let me ask again; do we still have enough left to pick from?

lol, my daughter does that, she is almost 16 but been the token white in her high school since she got there and been in the minority for her entire school career. She was also the token white in her pre-school :ROFL:

Just use your normal accent. People's brains are mallable. They adapt quickly.

The only problem here is that more parties joining favours the ANC more than the DA, but if we agree it's a GNU and not an ANC, DA coalition, we cannot be gatekeepers. At the end of the day, no matter how compromised the ANC is, they still have an upper hand, the DA should work around that, the problem is that they are not putting in an effort while the ANC is prepared to.

I am not against parties signing up to the GNU. I'm against every Tom, Dick and Harry weaseling there way into ministerial posts simply because they were on the ballot.

Wait, you want a majority winner to share their mandate? That sounds like bad politics to me... This whole GNU business is as a result of nobody getting a mandate to govern which again harks back to why a party with inconsequential parliamentary seats should occupy a ministry. Ministry positions within the GNU should be allocated to those whom the voters have mandated. I mean from the UDM downwards they occupy 19 of a possible 400 seats and now it appears that these 19 seats will net them a minimum of 5 ministries.

We know why the ANC are doing it... The optics of them getting into bed with a so-called white party is suicide.

That said, it's the DA's fault for not thinking this far ahead or being duped into thinking its an ANC/DA/IFP coalition in principle. The agreement should have dealt with all this and if the ANC felt magnanimous then ministry's to small parties would have to come out of their share.

I don't want anything, I am not the one who is worried about the smaller parties eroding my influence in the GNU.
