The EFF asked the IEC to get substations to other institutions as voting will go on throughout the night.

They do win quite a few SRC elections. They are one of the few parties that puts effort into Uni politics. DASO used to when Maimane was leader of DA but I don't think it's a big priority of the current leadership.

Nobody gives a schit about SRC anymore because of cnuts like them.

SRC used to represent student issues, now it represents politicians...

It's mostly used by people who want to get a foot into the door in the party they associate with or just to enhance people's CV. End of the day, they don't have that much power since the bosses in the Uni's have to sign off on anything significant. The Uni's just use it to make the students feel like they have representation.

There are some good people though but they mostly run as Independents. Some win because at least in Uni politics, there is more focus on individual and not party.
