On the one hand the ANC are trying to push things as far as they can in terms of what they believe the contract to stipulate which is the same as the DA are doing. On the other hand the DA are simply being petty regarding the PA.

The PA is such a small party and making a stink of not being consulted about their inclusion is hardly worth the effort. There is no upside for the DA in this battle.

The DA should just throw in the towel then and go back to being the opposition.

Gayton all clear to run and so will Zuma be at the next elections should he want to.

"The section of the Constitution which governs this is section 47. It states that a person is prohibited from standing for election to the National Assembly if they have previously been convicted of a criminal offence and sentenced to more than 12 months’ imprisonment without the option of a fine.
However, it also says this prohibition falls away five years after the sentence has been completed."

Quite probably no.


He would have been able to wiggle himself out of it as a "comparative hypothetical scenario". Instead, he decided to use a racially charged language and tone.

What does this have to do with the DA, their internal code of conduct, their rules pertaining to social media, etc?

You're forgetting one thing. He's white, there would be no wiggle room at all. No matter what he used he'd be dragged out as a racist. He said if Africa disappeared no one would notice, boom racist... They look for any excuse to label him a racist.
He could say wow I like that white BMW, racist.

If that's what you took from what I said then ok but there was bound to be grievances here and there regarding this whole thing due to interests and time scale but for heavens sake lets not rock the boat because the PA have been included without consultation.
 
nothing, it a reply to a question why Gayton allowed to run since he's been in jail but Zuma wasn't based on his jail sentence?

Apologies 'most' was not the right wording I agree. Hence why I said 'feels like'. Thats just because it spreads faster than a wild fire. I do not use twitter for this very reason. Im just reading comments on the articles.
