Parties usually lose support because they **** up in some aspect.

Some examples are DA nationally in 2019 under Mmusi's leadership and his shenanigans and ANC for the past decade in most areas because of their sheer corruption, zero service delivery and many other reasons.

Your example makes no sense anyway that DA support in EKH would drop solely because of stopping the electricity free-for-all... It would make more sense if UF made zero progress in their term, for them to then lose support.

For example, you love to refer to Ekhuruleni pre-2021 as ANC's big coalition success, if that was so great, why did ANC support tank further? Just for randomness? In CPT 2011, why did the DA win an outright majority there, after managing a coalition? Just because?

Party support depends on what happens regarding the party itself. COPE is also another example.

ANC is not going to get a majority in Gauteng in 2024 regardless of Lesufi, they've already lost the province (refer to last year). At best they might strike 38 - 40%. So either they'll have to coalesce or sit in the opposition benches (most likely outcome).

I never said the ANC were going to win Gauteng, did I? This discussion is based on your assertion that Panyaza will make things worse.

Another easy solution to explain what you can't understand, opposition councillors vote DA Gama out, they have been bribed, people vote for ANC, they have been bribed or intimidated.

Tell me what happened to the bribery and intimidation in the previous election? You are just coming with flimsy reasonable explanations, if the ANC wins an election is because people voted for it, willingly, if they lose its because people did not vote for it, as simple as that.

Intimidation while it can happen is a drop in the ocean and does not have any impact that could change the outcome of the poll.

Popular with the right wingers? You should see how popular the KFC and T-Shirts are at ANC gatherings. And there aren't any right wingers at those.

Thank you. I go watch them being distributed. The ANC tries to keep these activities secret from me. I also noticed that SASSA food parcels are distributed to those who say they will vote ANC.

The cops usiaully follow me doing that because I once called out a government member handing over keys to houses wearing an ANC T-Shirt to make it look like the ANC and not the government is giving out the houses.
