Don't say things like that, especially if you're in the KZN. Next minute the SU will bash down your door, find those beer bottle caps. Then Cele will have to get involved, flown down to empty any kind of bottle you have, smash it.

Yup. But it won't matter if they have nothing on her if Phalatse gets thrown out...

I do hope the UF has their house in order when the motion comes. So they can successfully defend JHB.

Sanef calls on IFP to reconsider planned march to City Press offices

The march - scheduled for next Friday - comes after the publication ran an opinion piece titled ‘Hail the Mass Murderer’ penned by City Press editor, Mondli Makhanya about IFP leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi.

If they aren't happy, why not make a civil suit, as the DA did with the Sunday Times? Why march tho?

Why should they follow DA's example? Why shouldn't they march? They are an independent party that can make their own decisions on how they handle their own issues.

Because SANEF made a good point.
"We are not convinced that mobilising party supporters too much to offices of a media house will achieve any constructive result. If anything, such mobilisation can only be viewed as nothing more than the bullying of Mondli Makhanya - the editor-in-chief of City Press - intended to silence him."
At the same time, Sanef said there are structures in place for grievances against journalists to be ventilated.
"Where the disagreements are around their work, there are available bodies that are the Press Council and Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa to independently handle and adjudicate such complaints.

That's why I said what I said. I didn't say "IFP MUST BECOME LIKE DA". If IFP wants to take the guy on, use the judiciary or the Press Council or BCCSA. A march is pointless...
