ANC/EFF has 19 to 14. So I doubt Upington will fall to the UF anytime soon. Although I know Springbok is under solid UF control.

• Tshwane (Pretoria) - DA led coalition government
• Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - DA led coalition government
• Cape Town - DA majority government
• eThekwini (Durban) - ANC led coalition government
• Buffalo City (East London) - ANC majority government
• Nelson Mandela Bay (PE/Gqeberha) - DA led coalition government
• Mangaung (Bloemfontein) - ANC majority government

That has to be a sign of things to come, in 2024, right?

Not really no, more a regional center. Like George. And Kimberly is under ANC majority control.

They probably already do that. Some of that Free state ghost employee thing sounded like that. It is how the ANC see the state - a source of funding for the party and their friends, families and all other cronies.

If I can add, the ANC is barely holding on in Bloem, if by-elections are held there and they lose one to two seats, they could lose Bloem too. And if the minority bloc in Durban abandons ANC, then it's possible that the ANC will lose Durban as well (although that one will be difficult for the UF).

I think the ANC will be nailed especially in the metros. But we'll have to see what happens in the rural areas.

Although you can see that the ANC is being rejected in rural KZN, North West and Northern Cape.

No, no. In Kareeberg Municipality (Carnavon) they won a ward off ANC. In Kimberly, they successfully defended one of their wards, they didn't win one of ANC, well not yet.
