Why would the ANC support a bill which is looking to scrap their own party's policy? That would be stupid. The Da should rather push for transparency in the appointment of people. Make CVs public, make the scoring public, etc.
How will that change the ANC stance?

They wouldn't dismiss it outright unlike this current bill of posturing and electioneering that the DA know has not a snowball's chance in hell.
Nah, they would. They'd dismiss anything the DA poses that would pose a risk to them (like this bill and your suggestions).

I'm really looking forward to the court case. If the DA can win there... then it will deliver a massive sucker punch to the ANC.

You forget that the ANC can dissolve their cadre deployment committee if the court rules, but that won't stop them continuing the practice. Mind you the DA themselves do deploy, maybe not to the extent of the ANC but they have done so a few times.

Nah, if it is ruled unconstitutional, they'll have to both end the committee and the practice.

Yeah? Some examples, please?

Making something against the law doesn't necessarily stop it. The only reason the ANC is in trouble is because they have a policy and minutes to prove that people were appointed politically, if the policy did not exist they would still be able to appoint people and there won't be anything to prove that they am were appointed politically, just as the DA has been doing where they govern.

Would be great if you could say how any of his claims are false instead of just attacking the source.
Didn't attack the source per se. I just wasn't taking it too seriously is all.
You are going more and more DA apparatchik, PrimeSteak. Be careful, fanaticism is bad in politics.
Glad to hear what you think of me. Btw please don't complain when people call you a cadre next time, seeing that you're more than happy to do the same type of thing.

People already think me a cadre. I laugh at them.

OUDTSHOORN NEWS - Councilors Suzane Jansen (PA), Leon Campher (Dysselsdorp Advieskantoor) and Colan Sylvester (OGI) were informed during Monday's council meeting by speaker Johan Allers (FF Plus) that there is currently a disciplinary investigation underway against them.
In response, Jansen immediately responded to a point of order and said that she could not allow her name to be dragged through the mud without a valid reason.

She also insisted that evidence could be disclosed to her so that she could send it to her PA party management.

According to a letter in the possession of Oudtshoorn Courant, addressed to Jansen, she is charged with a "possible breach of the code of conduct for councillors". The letter states that "the investigation stems from an attempt to make the larger Oudtshoorn municipality part of the Central Karoo district municipality's planned proposal to the municipal demarcation board. "In this regard, this was an attempt to make Oudtshoorn, Kannaland and Touwsrivier to introduce at the Central Karoo District Municipality," reads the letter.

According to the letter, Jansen is given seven working days to respond. Allers was repeatedly requested by the ANC's chief whip, Zwelakhe TyaTya, Campher and Sylvester to disclose the nature of the investigation, to which Allers said that they should not 'worry' about the complaints.

Allers also made it clear that he was not going to discuss the complaints in the council, but that he was obliged by law to inform the council that an investigation would indeed follow.

Both Campher and Sylvester were totally taken aback by their implication and agreed that there was no prior communication with them regarding the complaints and that they find this unacceptable.

Sylvester also mentioned to the council that he finds it strange that the "investigation" comes against him right after he requested the provincial executive council (MEC) to launch a forensic investigation against the Oudtshoorn municipality for serious financial mismanagement and that it appears to be a tit-for-tat situation.

Oudtshoorn Courant could not confirm the nature of the complaints against Campher and Sylvester at press time. An inquiry about this has been sent to the municipality.

Yet you still opt to use the same tactics?
I'm not using those tactics I am making a reference to your vehement defence of the DA. I get called a cadre without even defending the ANC so, there's a difference. I laugh because those who think me a cadre are the sort who are too lazy to think and are in fact more likely to mirror the typical cadre than me.
