Since they do vote garnering for ANC. I mean COSATU is 1.6 million strong...

The problem is if they do split, but still, support ANC then it's a kind of moot point to split.

IDK, unions are weird.

The members will probably still vote ANC regardless. Irvin Jim learnt that lesson when he formed his socialist party. NUMSA have over 300k members but he couldn't get enough of them to vote him to parliament, lol.

If COSATU leaves, SACP will most likely go with them. Interesting times.

But what I wonder is who will SACP work with then? Will they take a chance on the UF or will they just work with ANC again?

Neither COSATU nor the SACP will dump the ANC. They know how cold it is out there

So, then it doesn't really mean much for the ANC to loose the partnership.

Maybe, maybe not. Too many unknowns.

But all that we do know is, is that things have gotten so serious that they're going to have a special conference in May next year to decide if they'll split or not.

Hope they bring the generators to that conference. Do they also need R50million for that?

Nah, they'll just do something like that other time we had load shedding, suspend load shedding for as long as the conference is on, on a day... Reinstated afterwards...

I wouldn't be surprised if they do it at the end of the year's ANC conference...
