WiFi internet surfing problem

Hi guys i need help please...

I have a WiFi adsl router at home, which is setup-up as an access-point,with WPA as authentication type.

I am able to connect my omnia to the WiFi network without any hassles, but once i have connected to the WiFi network i am unable to browse the internet on my phone in both IE as well as Opera.

If i disconnect from the WiFi,then i am able to browse the internet again via HSDPA

I've tried everything i can think of including :

1. setting>connections>browser connection
Tried with both the option enabled and disabled, neither works...

2. settings>connections>wi-fi>network adapters>my network card connects to :
Both internet and work doesn't work...

3. made sure my WPA key was correct

Is anyone else experiencing this problem ?

I noticed on modaco's forums that other omnia users are also complaining about this wi-fi issue,no fix though.... :(

I haven't tried this but what exactly are you trying to accomplish:

Are you trying to access the internet on your phone through the wifi router's internet connection?
Or
Do you want the phone to be able to access the internet through the normal HSDPA connection while connected to your wifi?

Yes i am trying to access the internet through my home router via wi-fi

What exactly is the difference between the firmware versions?

DXIA2 is a "cooked" (Tweaked) ROM, i also have it installed at the moment.
It has a lot of improvements over the current official ROM e.g.
->faster optical track pad response
->battery lasts a lot longer
->has +-80MB free space after flashing to it
->comes with some useful apps e.g. Advanced Config Tool,Fring...

Would be nice if we can update the original post with links to the specific replies within this thread with useful tips/tricks/applications. Difficult to go through everything.....

Yeah but they also removed a lot of useful stuff in DXIA2 :

Removed/Not present in this ROM

Java
Media Album
Opera
Samsung Clock
Smart Reader
Touch Player
Main Menu
Microsoft Office
One Note
Samsung Widget
Task Switcher

Thanks, was looking at another DXIA2. From which version did you upgrade to DXIA2? I read on modaco that you must not be on anything prior to XXHG4: "If you have never updated your Omnia with custom rom and your rom's version is earlier than ??HG4 (for example DXHG3, ABC and number order HE7 < HF1 < HG2 < HG4 < HH7 < HI3 < HJ1 < etc...) first and ALWAYS update with the official Samsung firmware form here (Select Philippines): OFFICIAL SAMSUNG FIRMWARE "

No probs Park

I had the latest official SA ROM (JH3 or something) installed, then i installed the the Official Samsung ROM (Philippines) think its DXHK3,once that was installed,i installed the DXIA2,so here is the order of installation :

1.DXHK3 (Latest official Philippines version)
2.DXIA2 (Taril)

Everything needed can be found here :
