No need to be...just make sure you install the modem driver,active sync,reboot your pc and phone,make sure antivirus/firewall and any other apps which could interrupt the process aren't running on your pc and you should be fine.

Why don't you give it a try then? The ROM looks pretty promising.
Edit: You need to be on XXHG4 before you can upgrade to this ROM, so count me out.

Installing the skins program - SPB Mobile Shell.
It is only a program right and wont void the warranty at all and I should be able to uninstall the program at any stage?

I'm just wandering...due to the low memory (128MB) of the omnia,wont an app like SPB slow your device to a crawl ?
No, I used to run it on my TYTN with half the memory...
