Yeah okay, while you try and fix mankind's fundamentally broken nature, mind if we limit the tools the whackjobs can use to inflict death?
The fact that he didn't have a gun resulted in 22 injured kids, instead of the 22 dead kids which it would have been had he used a gun. I'm all for removing the whackjobs, but we haven't been able to figure out how to do that. In fact no society on earth seems to have figured that one out just yet. So it seems reasonable (and practical) that we not make weapons that can very easily be used to inflict large-scale death by these very whackjobs, as easily accessible as they are.
