Yeah guns don't kill people but look at the difference between the US and China. On the same day school children were attacked:

US: 26 victims shot dead with guns
China: 22 injured with knife. Bet you those would have been fatalities if the ******* had a gun.
 
Australia had 13 mass shootings in a short period of time (I think 10 years) prior to the 1997 gun laws being implemented by Howard, a conservative. They have had 1 since then, where "only" 2 people died. I think gun laws work. It is easier to limit psychopaths access to automatic weapons than it is to limit psychopaths.
 
Wow, typed out a whole rant then realised it was pointless, trying to make people understand that guns are not the problem on this forum really is pointless, but I tell you what, go ahead, make all the rules and restrictions you want, you will eventually realise none of them keep you safe because criminals/psychopaths do not follow your rules.

Yet again, this is not because of guns this is because of society and too much freedom.

Oh and as said, you think gun laws will work in SA? How will they control the illegal guns? They cant even do it now. :rolleyes:

Which private sport is played with a semi-automatic ?

I find it very odd that you can buy a military type weapon in the US when you are 18 but you can't buy yourself a drink till you are 21 !

people should also find another sport than Rugby, because there have been cases where rugby players have died. Why should they now compromise because some psychopath killed people?

lets also ban slipnot music, they mad a kid mad in Krugersdorp, resulting in his buddy death.

The fact is that those people at the shooting range are probably the most conscience about guns, they also teach their kids about gun safety as opposed to trying to hide them from it.

Why do you think the prohibition of guns will be any different than the prohibition of alcohol and drugs?
 
Police saying now that he forced his way into the school and was not let in.

They also say that they have found very good evidence pointing to a motive for the killings.

NOTHING can ever motivate the killing of 20 innocent children!

yes and do both know the legal age of 21 didn't stop anyone from drinking. Why would restricting weapons be any different?

In a world without guns we might have another argument, but that world is nothing but a pipe dream. SA is a prime example of what happens when you make it difficult for gun owners, currently the criminals have the guns.

there are tons of them supplied through the black market, thanks to a civil war in Mozambique not so long ago. A lot of our guns were also sold to criminals through the police who 'confiscated' illegal weapons. Either way, the public is disarmed and the criminals have the guns, thanks to gun laws.

Why do you think that prohibition of guns would be any different than prohibition of drugs or alcohol?
