The Shaman thread

All three shaman spec are raid viable. Obviously restos take more spots but we always take one elemental for our caster group and an enhancement for our rogues and dsp warrior.
Particularly the elemental topped the meters until most of us got our 4set T6 bonus

What I ment were that a T6 geared shaman (best gear) enhancment shaman beats an elemental one. Gear scaling, higher weapon damage and stats, vs spell dmg that scale really bad.
A warrior T6 geared or Rogue T6 geared can give a mage or warlock in T6 a run for their money on single target dps. While blue dungeon geared the mage and warlock are by far better.

In T5 and MH/BT gear our enhancement shaman are doing about 1200 dps on average while the elementa does about 1100 dps. (On bosses the enhancment really pull away doing about 1500 dps compared to the 1300 dps of the elemental shaman)

Oh ok :) I see your point

Unfortunately I've seen quite the opposite. A correctly Haste Gear based Elemental can even beat Warlocks if well played.

With my very little experience as a Shaman I have noticed a few things.

Rogue is only better at PvP becuase of stealth ;)

There is no class that can take down a Pala, Disp/Holy Priest or a Lock like and enchancement Shaman ;)

Rogue is good against Locks (CoS) But really sucks agains at Priest and Palas.

I chow thru them like I do through breakfast in the morning :D (With the Shaman)

Mace spec rogues are the fear of all priests and palas ;) And that stealth jump is REALLY a great advantage. A rogue that is non stealthed will be killed shot down real fast. An enhancment shaman does some serious damage so any decent group you will meet will focus down the enhancement shaman first.

A well played crit geared warlock should still be ontop ;) But the issue is not warlock dps vs shaman dps. BM hunters beat you all anyway :D

Ive heared about shammys with Illis Skull + haste Gear + BL shooting literally lines of LB,s

However the reason why they dont outdps us is because they'll overaggro , whereas a loc can shatter and continue to omfg no you didnt :)

Ye i would love to bitch at their spamm one macro but then again locs are spamming bolts and shammys LBs ,so i have no grounds there :P

Well I have to admit that the play style for a Shaman is alot more fun for me than my Rogue. I love the HUGE burst damage, crit after crit after crit, the WF weapons proc ever 3 seconds on Dual wield..... It is awesome fun.

The problem is that I still have to drink a shyt load of water
I mow down about 3 mobs then need to drink, that is with me using the CD that restores mana on Melee hits(2 minute CD). The problem is that my cycle uses Earthshock as a priority damage dealer, It's used overy time the cd is done, I think it's 10 seconds (under correction).

Maybe I should rely more on click and hit than using my Abilities

Is there something higher up that helps to restore mana in the Talent tree ?

You get Water shield at lvl 68 odd.. It will keep your Mana nice and high..

Better gear, with more intel will resolve your mana problems. Also a lot of +mana per 5 sec stuff.
I also try and time my earth shock to be always after a melee crit to save some mana.

That is really hard, I like the blue sparks and the green sparks and the boom sounds :(

That will make it so borring :D But I think you have the best answer even though I don't want to hear it :D

When i was leveling my shammy i had no downtime....just wait until you crit and you sorted :)

When i was levelling as enhance i pretty much never used shocks on mobs, only flameshock here and there - it's better damage for mana than earthshock, but has no interrupt. You can plow through your mana real quick if you like slamming shocks every cooldown. Fortunately mana becomes less and less of an issue as you gear up in epixx at 70, to the point where decently geared enhance shammies effectively never have to drink a mana potion, ever.

Then again i was Elemental from around lvl 58 to 68 so i'm not exactly sure what levelling as Enhance in Outlands is like.
Only know enhance pre-60/old world, which is the glory days of shammies. You are a god from level 40 to 60 - no other class same-level can survive against you longer than a few seconds unless theyre massively twinked.

*If* you ever plan on PVP'ing with your shaman, I'd suggest farming AV for S2 gear until you have around 300 resilience, before setting foot in an arena. As mentioned before, shamans are always the first target due to being such glass cannons - they're incredibly dangerous to leave alone but at the same time, very easy to incapacitate/kill.

Yeah I realised after posting that it's actually 62, not 68. I think you get Fire Elemental (/yawn) or something at 68.
