The Shroom Thread

Seeing as psilocybin is responsible for neurogenesis, is it possible to relieve brainfog?

If brain fog is caused by bad lifestyle then the question is a bit pointless. Could be 99 reasons for brain fog that no amount of shrooms is going to address.

Growing older is not considered bad lifestyle.

DMT, which is also neurogenic has shown potential to reverse Alzheimer's. Psilocybin acts on serotonin receptors which are estrogen sensitive. In theory it should work to relieve brain fog.

I've tried microdosing shrooms before for a whole month (20mg 2x a day), if anything, they made my concentration and focus worse and didn't really work for me.

I have a friend who swears by a mushroom complex he takes, I think it's this one:

He gave me 6 capsules to try, but I didn't notice anything. From research I've done in the past, I have read that psilocybin can potentiate lion's mane and cordyceps, but I've never tried it...

Out of all the natural supplements I've tried, kratom worked the best for focus, concentration, motivation, mood, and definitely alleviated brain fog, but even though it's natural, it can be addictive and comes with some warnings...

I took this one on and off for over 5 years:

My usual dose was 5 grams per day mixed into some orange juice (taste is nasty), but it worked well, and I didn't take it on weekends.

All I can say before trying any supplements is research, research, research!

Growing older also means lower testosterone = more brain fog. Can't fix a neurotransmitter imbalance caused by low testosterone or lack of essential nutrients with psilocybin or DMT.

Lower testosterone is the reason then. Even for menopause, testosterone is low. Had tests done back in March.

HRT is safe if done properly to mitigate risks, and if you don't have a history of breast cancer in the family. My sister in law is on testosterone cream formulated for women and I hear it's been a life changer.

Will definitely be discussing it with the healthcare professional. It supposedly helps to lift energy levels as well.

I have a freind that tried it as well and didn't get any positive feedback

Worth a try though. Not every body reacts the same way. There's been a lot of positive feedback from other people.
