After mutilating a couple of tubs in the beginning, and after learning more about how various people go about growing I figured I'd stop the tub abuse and see what happens, and it turned out better than expected! As an aside, if anyone ever wants to make really nice holes in a plastic tub, a tin can + induction plate is the best thing ever!My setup is the same but I have holes on each side covered with tape, I still do fresh air exchange in fruiting.
As for the laminar that would be awesome, you just need the hepa filter and a fan but I have no idea how much they cost. I am going to make a still air box for now.
The flow hood is going to be expensive - Just the filter will be a couple grand (took a look a while back), and I'm not sure on the fan, but I'd guess a grand or two. The rest is relatively simple (until you start trying to figure out the flow curves and all that jazz). But it's a project I am definitely aiming towards.
Was previously using a SAB (and still do when inoculating jars), but as I am going from jars to (tall) bags, it becomes impossible to do the latter step. So far I've just closed up the room, let the air settle and have had no issues with the six 2kg bags I have transferred to so far.
