The Sims 3 Delayed

Edge Online is reporting that publisher Electronic Arts has delayed the release of The Sims 3 from February 20th until an unannounced later date. The release date on the game's product section has reverted to TBA, and a number of retailers have changed their listings for the upcoming lifestyle simulation sequel to say it is expected in the first half of this year. EA's comments on the situation are vague, but the implication that the game is delayed is clear: "The game looks great and in the near future we'll have more information."

Nothing has actually been confirmed by EA yet...and if you search on EA SA it still brings up the 20th Feb as release date. I'll believe the delay when it comes directly from EA in a press release. :rolleyes: Of course they want their pound of flesh sooner rather than later so here's hoping no delay lol.

Am sure they will have another 2 exp out for sims2 to keep you busy until sims3.
 
Dang! I was so looking forward to this. Well, until an official mention of a delay is made by EA, I don't believe it much. We'll see.

EA don't update their web site nearly as often as you think!
 
Hopefully they are delaying the release to include online play. That would be awesome.
 
Damn that sux was quite amped for this game, hopefully its better then Sims'2, Wasn't that amazing..

Thank god I have a GF who doesn't play computer games.

And in a perfect world, she'd like it if "I" didn't play games either! HAHA :)
 
I think it was more wishing and hoping lol, I am sure they take their sweet time in updating. :( Well until it gets out I guess WAR it is ;)

Heh my hubby is quite happy that I am as much of a gamer as he is so never any arguments on not spending enough time together :D
 
i don't think it is going to be so bad,my GF has the Sims 2 and most of the expansions at first it was very confusing but later became fun,i let go of it when i heard of GOW 2 which is just hardcore
