The smallest 5G smartphone ever - iPhone 12 Mini

You realise the iPhone 8 has a screen size of 4.7" and it's already to big?
I'm not very iPhone familiar, so didn't realise that. I am curious though what it would be like to leave Android for Apple. When FNB was selling the iPhone 12 mini at 40% off though it caught my attention, but I have gotten so used to 6" phones now that I don't know if i could go smaller.

I've done that. You get used to it quick. Initially it's expensive but if you trade in every three or so years you get a discount (ie. This phone cost R13k a few years back, if I buy an iPhone 12 I'll get R4000 discount). Rinse and repeat.

Best thing you can do mobile phone wise but I'm sure a horde of Android guys will come and claim their potatoes are better. But as a liberated Apple user you simply won't care about the opinion of the poor.

If I was to jump ship now, coming from a Huawei Mate 20 Lite, would I be happy with an iPhone XR 128gb? They start at 13k I see on eBucks.com. Or does one have to go for the latest, like an iPhone 12, or at least an iPhone 11?

You'll be fine. The OS is the same and looks the same. Many people stick to the previous gen phones because of price. When I bought the iPhone 8 the X was the newer phone. Been three happy years.
