Probably closer to R15000 for the iPhone 12 mini. But in contract for 12 mini probably around R749 which isn’t so bad.

It's time to fire Tim Cook. The iPhone 5s reissue is cool, but I have never seen Apple revive a design from so many generations ago - It is my favorite iPhone design, but it is a pastiche of the 5s.

I had to use a Xiaomi 4A which was that size. I used it as a remote control/mp3 bluetooth player/alarm clock/google maps so it was ok.

Oh ok gotcha. Personal preference then I suppose, I think around 6.1" was the sweet spot for me.

Something that size, is decently usable, fairly easy to protect in a front jean pocket. Some of us need the size factor for practical reasons. Not that a bit bigger size is not nice, or have benefits. But not every area some of us need to frequent is as safe as we would like or prefer. And decent devices are way to expensive to be replaced 2 or 3 times in a 2 year period.

Choice sometimes comes down to what you can reasonably cary and protect, rather than what your personal preference might be.
