The Starfield thread

Either way.... the game is overpriced and is going to be buggy as well as incomplete and RPG wise if the past games are any indication to go by.... utterly incoherent.
It isn't overpriced, it's just more than you can afford apparently.

It will likely be buggy, just like every single other game that's released in the last 15 years.

Storywise it will likely be great, just like every Bethesda game usually is.

You sound like an old man screaming at the clouds about games you haven't played because you refuse to upgrade your museum piece computer because you know better than literally everyone else who plays games.

Keep screaming, we'll let you know how it is when it releases.

Sorry dudes I must have missed the memo to block him, I didn't know that's what the cool dudes were doing. I'll quote all his posts going forward so you guys can keep track.
Only if his ramblings are Starfield related... and of nett value to the thread... lol.

So tomorrow afternoon we get out first look at the full game?
Yea, those with the Premium/Deluxe/whatever version should be jamming tomorrow. I'm going to avoid footage as I want to experience it all myself.

If it's your hobby you pay, who tf is anyone to judge how you spend your money. Apparently some people think it's fine to pay R100k for two wheels and a pedal, which sounds doff, but it's their money. Go find something else to enjoy if games isn't your thing...

It's more than anyone should be willing to pay for any game, if anything it just incentivizes further overpricing nvm absolute k@k like what Ubisht has been pushing out the last decade. They keep doing this because people stupidly keep rewarding them.

And that is some kind of excuse to gobble up what is obviously a beta project?

Except that they completely dropped the ball with FO4 and havent picked it up again since. Half the story wasnt even properly present, the lore incoherent and the intersections made no sense.... it was a hack job.

What makes you think my "ancient" hardware cannot run these games? The conceits of the eltist tsk tsk tsk.

When I say it's old but still runs fine.... it really does still run fine.... it's just that Windows has become a bloated POS.

Keep screaming, we'll let you know how it is when it releases.
Meh, you will be glowing for a few weeks and then slowly star realizing your enthusiasm was misplaced.... especially because all the money you spent on it will be emotionally blackmailing you into choosing to love it.

You said it yourself.... it's doff, don't pretend you are not judging them.

So tomorrow afternoon we get out first look at the full game?

Only Friday 2AM our time... We are ahead of the USA where it will launch on Thursday afternoon/early eve.

From what I understand it launches everywhere at same time... and that would mean 2AM in our time, which is similar to tomorrow afternoon in the earliest US time region.

Reviews and videos should be popping up from 6pm...

Let's not make blanket statements about what people should be willing to pay for things, you don't determine what other people see value in, your opinion is not that important.
And that is some kind of excuse to gobble up what is obviously a beta project?
In what way is it a beta project? Do you know it has released with massive and obviously still beta? Or is this just you hearkening back to the days of yore when your PC played FO4 and are taking that as the basis for all projects going forward? (Clue: yes, that's what you're doing.)
Except that they completely dropped the ball with FO4 and havent picked it up again since. Half the story wasnt even properly present, the lore incoherent and the intersections made no sense.... it was a hack job.
So you're complaining about the story in a game you never finished and thus don't know the story of? Did you know Bruce Willis was a ghost the whole time!? True story. But only if you finish the story.

The OS is slightly bloated, but that's exacerbated by old hardware. Like yours. Perhaps it's time to move on and keep pace with developments?
Meh, you will be glowing for a few weeks and then slowly star realizing your enthusiasm was misplaced.... especially because all the money you spent on it will be emotionally blackmailing you into choosing to love it.
Maybe. Or maybe it will be great. Great part about it is, I get to experience that for myself without any preformed conclusions and internal biases based on years-old grudges regarding w game that is completely disrelated to the one under discussion. And what's even better, even if it is a buggy mess, I'll see all the bugs in glorious detail at 1440p! BOOYAH!

I don't care, it's their money. I find it doff but I'm not going to schit on their threads. I just won't cycle and stick to what I enjoy...
The thing is I am not saying this in any personal way.... I completely objectively think it's a waste of money to spend so much money on a game no matter how disposable money is to someone.

If you argue that games should be priced by the hour then it's not even a game you are buying access to but an experience... in essence no different to spending money on a whore instead of a girlfriend.

I did see something about it being available 4 or 6 hours earlier though, but I didn't read all the details so that may be incorrect. Either way, I have nothing else to do at 2am so I'll see you boys in space.

You broke your own argument.

Oh yes you are correct. The embargo/NDA ends earlier and (early) reviews should be out first.

Doubtful on how many of these early reviews would have clocked the game and done many of the quests...
