From ASDA (so not the cheapest but not the most expensive):
Original Coca Cola - £2.40 for 1.75l
Coke Zero - £2.00 for 2l

The sugar tax on that Original coke is 18p.
A loaf of thick sliced white bread (800g) is 75p.
I don't straight convert these days because the cost of a can of coke in SA relative to my SA salary is higher than the cost of a can of coke in the UK relative to my UK salary.

Coke is a scam these days, costs now what petrol used to cost if you think about it... and it does not even contain real sugar anymore.

There are a lot of things I just don't even think of buying anymore.
