The Starfield thread

Every few years someone pushes the evelope.... at this rate games are going to become more expensive than graphics cards used to be.... at which point the argument for games as a service will be "it's just too expensive to let people buy it, this really makes more sense for the consumer"
The only problem with gamepass is that they remove games after a period of time, which is why I will never use it permanently

Using gamepass to play something you cannot afford to buy until you can afford to buy makes sense.

Local pricing. BG3 is R800 here (which is an amazing deal to be fair), Starfield is R1,400.
Even then you can get Starfield for R1,100 on CD keys.

R1,400 is the premium edition if you want to play today, you can't compare that to the standard edition of the game...

EDIT: but nvm me, their feelings are hurt enough.... I'll shush now

As long as people still buy games they will sell games.

What are you advocating "Piracy" will push industry to "games as a service" faster than people subbing to services.

100%. What I love about it is it allows everyone to enjoy the same thing, whether it is the game collector or the parent with fkcing teenagers in the house, gamer.

CDKeys are not a legit reseller of the game so I generally don't use their pricing for games, only the trusted sources.

They are legit, but not legal as they not Importing the games to SA so not paying local taxes.

/me look at who is getting "robbed"

Erm, buy all you want from CD Key's :D

Does the premium edition on steam show that you can play the game in approximately 1 or 5 days?
