The Starfield thread

If you have multiple monitors connected, try with only 1 monitor.
I haven't had any issues this my multi screen setup but it can also be because I run the basic rtss + msi setup to limit fps instead of using vsync and or fast reflex. In fact I would recommend this setup as your standard go to. Have a default profile and then sub-profiles as required.

Rambo this is for you (or your ghost) . Even though you can't respond.

First, an enormous thank you to all of you playing Starfield and your support. We are absolutely blown away by the response and all you love about the game. We’re also reading all your great feedback on what you’d like to see improved or added to the game. This is a game we’ll be supporting for years and years to come, so please keep all the feedback coming! Even if we don’t get to your requests immediately, we’d love to do it in the future, like city maps. Our priority initially is making sure any top blocker bugs or stability issues are addressed, and adding quality-of-life features that many are asking for.
This first update is a small hotfix targeted at the few top issues were are seeing. After that, expect a regular interval of updates that have top community requested features including:
  • Brightness and Contrast controls
  • HDR Calibration Menu
  • FOV Slider
  • Nvidia DLSS Support (PC)
  • 32:9 Ultrawide Monitor Support (PC)
  • Eat button for food!
We’re also working closely with Nvidia, AMD, and Intel on driver support, and each update will include new stability and performance improvements.
Additionally, we are working on our built-in mod support (Creations) that will work across all platforms similar to what we’ve done with Skyrim and Fallout 4. This full support is planned to launch early next year. Until then, we know our PC community is already very active in the modding space and if you have any feedback on how we can make this better, please let us know . Modding and creating in our games will always be a vital and important part of who we are, and we love seeing the community get off to such a strong start.
Keep the feedback coming, we really do read it all, and thank you all again for taking this journey with us!

AMD title and no mention of FS3 implementation. Meh. Wonder if they are holding back until DLSS is implemented just to avoid an Nvidia fanboy outcry :D

Played some GTA Space last night....

Added at least 8 ships to my collection. Now I wish the game had a garage where I could show off my rides
That would actually be pretty cool.

Did you sell them at the shipyards or from the ship menu?

Naa, just registered.

Will decide later what to do with them. Was more an exercise in fun than anything else. Also curious on how they looked inside. I wasn't in the mood to "quest".

Hijacked some in space and stole others that landed close to me on planets. For some reason, some ships that land just drop people and take off before I can even get close, doesn't matter if they see me or not.

Aaah crap there goes that plan :(
or commandeer and resell.

  1. Got ship
  2. Register ship (costs about 8k)
  3. Looks at resell value (9k)
  4. Rather just fly around in new ship as it's marginally better than previous one without any resell value

Hopefully this gets better...

If you have installed starfield on another drive than C did you use the default folder structure e.g. OtherDrive:\XBoxGames or do you have folders before the folder XBoxGames?
Finally does the game actually update if on another drive and/or different location as to defaults (drive:\XBoxGames)?

Stripping would be lekker.

Also, once you rank your sales skills and are stealing higher tier ships, the values change substantially so the profit margin widens. But yea, it's not all that profitable at the moment. What is profitable is hopping on board and stealing their contraband, can make 8-40k per ship doing that.

If you sell it from your menu you get substantially more than selling it to the ship yard. Ship yards takes 85% commission.

So I've been having issues with this, haven't been able to register the ship without visiting a ship yard. Might be doing something wrong, but it's a pain man.

What is the process you use to do the above?

Like Alpha I also took over some spacer/pirate ships (3 new ones) last night.
Once you land on the first planet/moon after you took control you hit the Spaceship option in the menu and only then in that menu will they give you an option to register (menu button on Xbox) and fix the ship (A on Xbox).
