The Starfield thread

Having the same problem, time to replace the One X with a Series S, cause ain't nobody got time for PC upgrades.

We replaced the S with a Switch, as per her request, aint no baksies.

Also she does not know what type of game it is yet, I am staying the f away from the outpost menu.
I can just see her collecting all the toys and board games and decorating a space condo. <-- I know my wife.

Not enough time to share between her and Eskom.

Toys? Boardgames?
Who in their right mind would collect all these in the game and drag them back to display in their spaceship?!
:whistling: :whistling::whistling:

The ship builder is not great.

Tried building one from scratch and at a certain height the snapping just does not work, even though there are clear blue highlights showing the part can go there.
Also no starboard windows? Or must those be unlocked?

I use to do that a lot in Skyrim
But in Skyrim you could buy houses so it made more sense

What are your piloting and ship engineering skills on? You get access to more things as you level up.
I've also noticed sometimes a supplier will only have 1 or 2 of an item, it's not infinite stock.

Best bet is to build a large landing pad at your outpost, that gives you access to every part you have unlocked, besides a dew specialist parts which you can only get from the Shipyard of that manufacturer.

Ah, I see
Bit crappy that building stuff is level locked, since there are ship technicians all around you, but it is what it is

I see you can have a mansion at the start of the game if you don't mind paying a mortgage
You know, if you want to be reminded of your real life in games

I see Digital Foundry joked about it in one of their latest Starfield videos.... the option of starting a game ... with mortgage!
As if life is not tough enough... play a game and pay off a bloody mortgage, lol.

I wonder if one can adopt kids as you could do in Skyrim?

Probably DLC
Could only do that if you have the 'Hearth'? DLC in Skyrim
Can't remember the proper name, but it is the DLC that let's you design your own house

Base building is super bad when compared to nms, conan, ark, atlas, ...

At this stage I'm just setting up money printers. Can't see myself doing complete interesting / fun outposts.
