The Starfield thread

Same folks who go to the pub spend 1k and then think a game is expensive. lol.

Again I've made the complete pub, movie ticket and pricing of then and now in the diablo thread...
You'll never win these debates. It's impossible to assign a monetary worth to something that brings you joy and entertainment. I have this exact same discussion with a friend nearly every month. Interestingly, our pub expenses during these debates often exceed the cost of the item we're disputing :D

You can use something like ebucks - what I'm going to do for lords of the fallen, just let it tick upwards and let it pay the odd 1k for the game
Only feasible if you happen to live in a city where services exist that generate such things.

Yea but it's not a debate to win, just a discussion to gain insight into your fellow forumite's point of view.

Online shopping generates ebucks.
Buying fuel at Engen generates ebucks.
Having specific accounts generates ebucks.
Using your credit card generates ebucks.

Every town can do some or all of those things.

At the end of the day we all choose to spend our money differently, and some people don't have the money to spend, which is unfortunate but I get it.

The mentality of devaluing something someone else holds valuable simply because you cannot afford/don't perceive the same value, that's my only gripe with this whole thing.

More importantly, only 1 or 7 days for the rest of us :D

/hides qt pounder cheese small meal slip

Most shopping is not done online

Not gonna change ban accounts for just that.

Don't have any credit and don't plan on ever having any.
Cool, so ebucks is not for you. There are other options. Main point being, why devalue something others hold dear?

Also, why steal from developers who put literal years of work into a product? Don't they deserve to get paid for the work they do and the enjoyment they provide?

It's a matter on inherent worth vs subjective worth.... if it's worth is subjective its basically objectively worthless. I don't price anything subjectively, that's the luxury of the wealthy who thinks it gives them bragging rights.

You can't price it objectively but also won't price it subjectively. So then how do you price it?
