Has anyone done the AMD promo where if you purchase any of the following AMD cpus or gpus from participating retailers they send you a Starfield code? I hear AMD checks if you're actually using the hardware, but does it match the code down to the specific model or will the codes work with any combination of the below hardware? For example, using a code received with a 7900X cpu purchase, but on a 7900 XTX gpu purchased elsewhere (the 7900X is not a part of this system).

There is an amd validation tool which verifies your hardware. You have to run it to redeem the code

I haven't played it on a controller, but it's pretty simple on a KB/mouse, unless you don't enjoy that sort of thing. Having one does mean you can try multiple games with it and see which ones work well on it.
