The Starfield thread

What time can I us normal GamePass plebs start playing?

Latest updated version sitting and waiting on my S Series
Same I started the download last night and hopefully there isn't a huge update before the pleb release.

Am i the only one that's been hijacking ecliptic ships and selling them off at a small profit
I have tried that but my guns are too damn powerful, they just explode too soon man. I did board one ship and wreck everyone but I didn't sell it.

I upgraded the Razorleaf though. I have 1040 cargo space now.

Buy the targeting system skill, then you can shoot just the engine and fly close to dock...

There's apparently a quite nice Mantis ship and RNG suite of armor you can get if you do the spacer hidden base mission.

Spoiler / walkthru (the tip about saving before grabbing the suit is good though)

Also, first moment at a temple was just wow.

Yep, got both. Definitely worth doing.

Maybe they just have a crappy PC

So far my experience has been mostly bug free, I've had one big issue where a mission wouldn't proceed becuase the mission giver just stood there and didn't continue speaking (reloading the save twice fixed this).

The only other really annoying thing is that it keeps changing my selected 3rd person view, I like the zoomed out view but every time there is a loading screen or you talk to an NPC it reverts back to the zoomed in 3rd person view.

Zooming issue has always been there with Bethesda as far back as Fallout 3

Adjust zoom - sit on a chair - zoom reset

That sucks. I've only played very little of Fallout 4 and like the first 30 minutes of Skyrim, neither of them really did that much for me. Starfield is different.

Xbox Series S + Power Brick
1st world problems do have 1st world solutions
So 6 hours of play with Series S use about 60W + 40W for TV

Edit: Its cross save, so you can continue on PC when power returns.
The good thing is if you do have backup power, quick resume actually works properly because it doesn't need an internet connection...

Only bug I’ve had is a quest NPC being an elevator and just descending through the floor. Leaving and reentering the building fixed it. That and intermittent crashes to desktop.
