The Starfield thread

I used to be an adventurer like y'all. Then I took a laser to the knee... Now I'm a beach bum.

I fixed this by doing the following

*warning this will disable achievements and you have to use the mod to being them back*

1. console
2. type: help "Freezing Rain"
3. look for the code, it was 001639EB
4. type: player.dispel 001639EB

Was not much a fan of Starfield till I played the Crimson Fleet missions , Deep Cover.

Is anybody having performance issues since yesterday? Moved the game to a new Mushkin NVME drive from my old SSD yesterday, and the game ran fine after that. Loaded it again last night and it took much longer to load the game and getting audio stutter in game as well as FPS drops to 0. Today still the same. NVME is showing 100% disk activity?

Oh I've found something more annoying than the Red Mile. Maybe I wasn't in the mood but the mission to get (probably) the last artifacr where
you switch between realities as you hunt for switches etc
was the worst. It gets old do quick, I loathed every second of it.

Restarted the PC and working fine again. Not sure what caused this.

Ah, I'm at the same mission. I got so lost and confused yesterday that I eventually rage quit. Not looking forward finishing it later tonight :D

Lots and lots of medpacks and lots of digipicks. And a full automatic gun with 2000+ bullets preferably with white hot rounds.

Hate it when games put that mechanic in. Like wandering around in the Fade in Dragon Age. Just feels like a massive waste of time where you just want to get back to the real world...
 
Just finished the main storyline as well. And then my game crashed.

So new game plus you start from scratch. The only things you take with you are XP and skills. Side quests, credits, ships etc. all reset. Is anybody carrying on with the "original" game?

I kinda abandoned the main story again for a while..

Random is key
From what I have seen, that is where the game "starts"
ie: Saw one YouTuber that rolled ina Universe where Conselation is just a bunch of kids.

Oh and level cap = 65 000+ incase anyone wanna know.

Finally completed. Took my time. Have you done the below?

Did you degauss the facility using the lab computer then adjusting frequencies? This brings Rafael back to the current World, you basically save both worlds, the way I understood it.
 
Got to a good point in the story, where whatwhatwhat contacts you for the first time and then you do the thing again and then I got one shot :D

You can "finish" it in 3 hours, but if you really wanna "finish" it its gonna take 1000's of hours.....

So this game is great in that it lets you do what you like instead of saying here is a corridor, run it to the end and you are done.
 
I spent the weekend being a corporate shill. I was glad to shed the suit and don the six guns again. If I never attend another in game board meeting it will be too soon. sheesh...

but., at level 30 and 500k makes credits a non issue... i think.

content to go ship shopping across the galaxy, and building. Starship design ranks is my goal this week.
