Also to add to your 'to do list', if you didn't know:

If you look at the walls/sides of your ship interiors, you will see stuff roped in. You can place items in the gaps there as well.
I have cabin / habitat walls stuffed with plushies, toys, fish tanks etc.
And I am continually picking stuff up off the floor in the living quarters. Damn crew never cleans up after themselves.

Hold Y (interact button in my case) to pick up, triggers to orient, tap Y to place.
IF you played FO76, you will know that later when you have all decorations researched, you can 'game' the placement system. Create your own shelves, displays etc

There is soo much 76 in Starfield. I will lose my marbles if BETH comes out next year and adds MP.

Also, the loot is better on harder difficulty, better chances of yellows and whatnot.

Yellow can drop? I've only ever seen blue drop, maaaybe 1 or 2 purples and boy do I loot.

All the Yellow I have equipped are items with known locations. Difficulty setting had zip to do with finding them.

I think I am playing default (Normal?)

Did a dungeon (Outpost) yesterday and got 4 Yellows - 3 off enemies, 1 in a stash.

Will change on NG+ if I ever get there.

Found a perfect weapon set that just works for me. Not in the mood to start reading specs on every pickup and calc if it will be better.

What's your favourite gun?

My current faves: Ember, MAGSHOT, Tombstone with armour piercing, and the Legendary Sniper rifle that is a reward in Akila.
With automatic MAGSHOT pistol being my hardest hitter at level 30. 215 damage per shot, but the fire rate is insane. 2 taps and mag is empty.

Assuming weapon rewards scale with whatever level you completed quest at, as such on new game plus I will put some aside for late levels, knowing what the reward will be now.

Lets just say I don't wear a Space Suite inside bases

Have full auto modified drum for when things go south

Well personally I just used ballistic cause I don't have enough skill points to roll everything.

Ballistic counts the Magnetic Induction array weapons. (MI ammo type)
They fire bullets like a nailgun. No casing requried.

I hate those too
Nothing more satisfying than seeing bullet casings fly during a fire fight.

Totally. Annoyed me no end in Far Cry 3 when you had to go into those hallucinatory stages.

Thats the Magshear. Goes red where it will hit enemy. Hits like a truck at close range.
I like Magshot (Pistol variant)

They just chew through ammo and buying it is not cheap.
