The Starfield thread

Cool hint for shipbuilders:

Ship builder is actually not too bad. Just the limits on some of the things you can only have one of is a bit frustrating but I guess makes sense. Can't have Transformers.

Also would have been cool if you can view some of the modules interios before you place them.

Nothing inside my ship lines up or has a good flow. This is bad architecture. Doors and passages needs to line up for goodness's sake.

this channel helps a bit

Public Service Announcement:

Make sure your ship is empty before building ESP cargo.
Lost a crap ton of goodies so had to resort to prev save

Game actually playable on Ryzen 5600 + Nvidia 1650 (Ok 1080p with everything on low)

Also don't know if it was because I been playing on Xbox but KB&M on PC feels like an afterthought, keys not very user-friendly esp the ship builder.

Are outposts important? Haven't had a need to build one yet and wonder if I am missing anything.....
Not important that you have to have them. As far as my experience has been.
Great addition and time sink though. Game within a game.

Not really, unless you're into that sort of thing.

Good way to make some XP though, gathering and then crafting items.

After hours and loads of credits, I have made the following observation.

Doorway pref depends on the modules and not all follow the same logic. Example Capitan hab from one manufacturer would always use a door in one spot where another will always prefer another

Eg

So good luck if you have OCD with modules that are visible externally, cause you can either have good flow or good looks, not both.

Edit: Dont know if the design skill level changes above as I do not have any points in it so will revisit once I'm leveled up

Feel the same , it is as if the game was made in 2 halves

Its more than that. Artifact hunt feels like a rail shooter.... you just along for a ride.

That Crimson story has actual choices that make it feel like it matters what you decide, also the amount of detail, just wow. Hell even the voice recordings on logs, its like you can feel the emotion.

My advice for anyone playing the game... get caught stealing from UC and enjoy the "real game".

Down in the prison part was proper tense game play
Yes you are right , only missions that felt you are part of it

Haven’t done the crimson fleet quest line yet. Ranger quest line is great though.

I really don't see what the problem is. Games like this can have 10 story lines for all I care. What does it matter which one is which. The game is so well made you actually forget sometimes there is a main story line.

Don't care what any thinks, but the coffee machines really needs to be fixed.

I don't know what is Sarah's problem. Whenever I flirt with her she says she is not ready, yet she allows me to chuck her in a room full of enemies and close the door, and afterwords return with a smirk on her face. I do give her a knife though. Maybe she has battered woman syndrome.

Expert tip needed.

How do I get rid of Sam's kid. Don't know how that thing got on my ship but it has to go. I promise I have not tried to shoot her or blow her up with grenades or landmines.
