The Starfield thread

I'll be bored after 1 playthrough. Don't know how you guys or anyone can play a game a second/third/fourth time immediately after finishing it once.
I just did it to level up my skills and make some different choices to see how the story plays out - like siding with the UC in the first playthrough and Crimson Fleet in the second, and marrying Andreja instead of Sarah...

There's a reward for finishing it a certain amount of times, can't remember what, and I didn't have the patience to try. After 2 playthroughs I'm bored without any new content. Moving onto something else for now...

Head mount statue for your outpost.... it doesn't even transfer to new Universe so total waste.

The thing is you don't have to play the entire game. I for one just picked some quests and did things differently to see outcome changes. You can NG+, just collect Artifacts and level without doing any quests.

Also some NG+ can totally random some stuff up, without giving away too much, entering Constellation on NG+ is like opening a lucky packet, you never know what you gonna get.

Its almost like NG+ is still part of the original playthrough.

So like the thing above the bar in the casino? Not worth the trouble so 1 Red Mile run is enough lol.

The Red Mile is pretty underwhelming imo and I've had more of a challenge outside the walls while trying to scan the planet. By far the most dangerous planet I've been to so far. A nice change from the boring, lifeless ones.

I did all 30 in one go... Lucky with a level 4 jetpack, I did not even touch the ground, I just "fly" to button and "fly" back.

Sidnote: Only have 3 achievements left for 100%

Interesting.
Baldur's Gate 3 for me, but this was really good.

Found the first major bug(s) in my game and it all started at the same time.

First of all, crew members/companions won't show up in my ships at all anymore even if they're assigned to be there. Tried everything but haven't found a fix yet. Hope it doesn't stay that way for the rest of the game.

At the exact same time that started, I've noticed a couple of other things as well:

- Some companions are not in their usual spots anymore. Vasco for example is supposed to always be at the Lodge but he's just gone. Eventually found him just standing in one of my ships along with Simeon for some reason even though neither of them is assigned anywhere. I don't even use Simeon ever because he's way too annoying. But even if I tell Vasco to follow me, the moment I dismiss him he just disappears. I went straight back to the Lodge but again he's not there. Instead he's standing in that ship again.

- And speaking of... Usually if I dismiss someone they just say their goodbyes and walk away. But now all of a sudden if I dismiss someone, anyone, they just instantly disappear. Most companions can still be found in their usual spots afterwards though.

- And then finally, whenever I arrive at one of the major planets (New Atlantis, Neon, Akila etc), my ship isn't being scanned anymore. No greeting, no scan, nothing. I can just land and that's it. Haven't tried with contraband yet to see what happens and if it changes anything. Don't mind if my ship is never scanned again though because it's annoying, but still...

So somwhere my game got really messed up . It started after either that Crimson Fleet prison mission where you have to take a prison shuttle back to The Key, or after the Rangers mission where you have to track down Maya who escaped from the Clinic.

I googled missing crew members and it looks like that prison shuttle breaks the game and messes things up for many players

Could also be ship builder that caused all of that. Seen some people with the same issues over on reddit and their problems started after spending too much time editing their ships.

I spent quite some time trying to turn the prison shuttle into something more useful lol and my issues could have started after that...

Yeah I doubt 1 ship would do that.... I have accumulated close to 1d playtime (10+ x custom ships later) just in ship builder...

Yeah I've seen all your ships :)

But I'm pretty sure me editing the prison shuttle broke my game. Crew members not showing up in ships and outposts anymore seems like a very common bug. Many people have the same issue and looks like for many it started in ship builder. Oh well....

@wbot try verifying your files, possibly something got a bit wonky somewhere.

I edited the prison shuttle without causing any issues.

Already did. Nothing.

Figured out the game somehow doesn't detect my ships anymore. Tried hiring one of those unnamed job seekers you find in every bar but they refuse to go to my ship. Even though they are assigned to my ship they still tell me to let them know where to go. I lose them when I leave the bar because they have nowhere to go, they can't find my ship lol. That explains why my ships aren't being scanned anymore as well and why crew members aren't showing up inside. Nice one Bethesda!

Also, bought a new ship but then when I tried to enter it, the door was locked and inaccessible. Unlocked when I installed a new cannon. I see inaccessible ships you own is a well known bug as well.

Yeah no, my game is really bugged out at the moment :( But at least I can still do missions and continue the story for now so that's good...

Not to be funny but thats the type of bug that will make me go
"Ok... Next game..."
